London Calling

There is something about a well-appointed, crisply painted door that reminds me of a good pair of shoes. They have a way of telling you a story. On our recent trip to London, the doors {and a few window boxes} stole my heart especially in Notting Hill and South Kensington. We spent most of our three days in London walking through the neighborhoods and parks and down the tree lined streets en route to the must-see monuments and museums. It was a great way to experience London and capture some of its allure.

A smashing display of door hardware at the Portobello Road market.

The windows at Farrow and Ball in South Kensington display paint colors on miniature doors.

The blue doors of the residences inside the Tower of London.
